Code assumes `/media/USERNAME` exists.  It may not exist if no external storage has ever been plugged into the system

Currently, code will crash when this happens so we want something slightly more elegant to happen instead.  Should be a quite rare event given that most DenCam systems, in testing and preparation, will have had some storage device plugged into them at some moment or another. So, it's not a vitally urgent bug.
