Unsuccessful deploy

I've cloned the git repository in my account and I'm now trying to push a simple React app to it, providing the default .autogit.yml, but I keep getting this response from the remote when I push: "error pathspec '.autogit.yml' did not match any file(s) known to git. Failed to checkout .autogit.yml. Please provide config in root and try 'git push' again.

Any suggestions?
