What happened?
My models can no longer search the web when using the Conduit app. They can however properly search the web when using the Open WebUI web interface so the issue is isolates to Conduit. This issue did not occur in prior versions a few weeks ago. Not sure which exact release of Conduit or Open WebUI caused the issue.
I tried enabling the "Web" quick pill and toggling it on or off when sending messages, but the model doesn't know it can search the web no matter what I try. Disabling the Web quick pill yields the same results. For reference, the models I am using have native tool calling and have web search enabled as a default feature in the Open WebUI admin panel.
What should have happened?
The models should be able to search the web.
How to reproduce
Ask a model to search the web. Web searches will not be performed. My models have native tool calling enabled with web search as a default feature in Open WebUI. I have tried enabling and disabling the "Web" quick pill in Conduit app settings, results are the same with no web searches performed.
