Can not start lixs?

I have compiled and installed lixs successfully. Besides, I modified the /etc/default/xencommons file following the instructions in the README file. However, there is any error when starting lixs. The error message is as follows:

Starting /usr/local/sbin/lixs...LiXS: [unix_sock_server] Failed to bind socket: No such file or directory

Does anyone know what may have caused this error? My Xen Dom0 runs Ubuntu 14.04 and I am using Xen 4.7.0.

I suspect the path /run/xenstored/ might not exist.

The path /var/run/xenstored does exit. Inside it there are two sockets defined: socket and socket_ro.

That's weird. It is clearly failing on https://github.com/cnplab/lixs/blob/master/lib/lixs/unix_sock_server.cc#L133, which is a simple bind. Only thing I can think of is the socket path is being set on the command line/configuration files?
