Bing Custom Search

@deigolocco, could you please look up how many custom searches are taking place and determine if they are legitimate searches from China? Is there a lower-cost option available? Thanks!

Hi @dankohn , @taylorwaggoner and I looked at the invoices and usage reports from Bing and they show an increased usage of the Azure service over time to provide the custom search.

I would suggest looking at the analytics to see if there's been a proportional increase in Chinese traffic during this time, however, it looks like you have GTM installed which I don't believe works in China. You could possibly change that so that you run the old analytics script, as we're doing on the Events site, and we could track traffic going forward.

You could also consider switching to baidu to provide the Chinese search if you're in search of a cheaper option.
