Ducted heat pump control

The current home assistant integration is not compatible with ducted heat pump systems. As per your previous message, it sounds like the base device library needs updating first.

On my ducted system, I have four separate controllable zones. The main zone sets the heating type (heating, cooling, auto, etc) and the fan speed. The individual zones can then be turned on and off, and the temperature can be set for each zone.

This is what the Gree app looks like:

I am having the same scenario, but am very much a HA newbie. Specifically bought a HA because I convinced my wife it would work with our Gree Ducted, so definitely keen for some assistance if there is any available. I tried to install dgolovach repo in HACS but it seems that because RobHoffman's is newer those changes dont come through. Maybe I can force it somehow?

I got it working! You @dgolovach sir are a genius. For other newbies who are worried their wives will kill them.

Downloaded your repo as a zip. Uploaded the gree folder to my custom configurations.
Created a climate.yaml and added the include in configuration.yaml as per guide.

My climate.yaml is very simple

  name: Ducted heatpump dining room
  host: (ip of Zone Controller)
  port: 7000
  mac: 'mac of Zone Controller ' <-Note my MAC address is formatted without dashes and in ' '
  target_temp_step: 1
  zone_id: 0 <- The important part!!!

Now to add the other zones!!!
