This project adopts version 2.1 of the Contributor Covenant as its Code of Conduct. The full text is canonical at:
https://www.contributor-covenant.org/version/2/1/code_of_conduct/
All contributors, maintainers, and community participants are expected to follow it when interacting in any project space, including GitHub issues, pull requests, discussions, and any communication channels linked from this repository.
This Code applies within all project spaces and also when an individual is officially representing the project in public spaces. Examples include using an official project email address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event.
Because mcp-clipboard is a one-person project with no shared inbox, reports are routed through the same private channel used for security issues:
- Open a GitHub Private Security Advisory at https://github.com/cmeans/mcp-clipboard/security/advisories/new.
- Put
Conductin the title so the maintainer can distinguish it from a security report. - Include a description of what happened, links to any relevant public threads, and how you'd like the situation handled.
This is a workaround — GitHub does not currently offer a dedicated private-contact channel for non-security matters. The advisory mechanism is the only way to open a private thread that the maintainer can see and respond to without exposing the discussion publicly. Reports will be reviewed confidentially.
Response times vary — this is a one-person project.
The maintainer is responsible for clarifying and enforcing standards of acceptable behavior, and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior deemed inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful. Possible responses range from a private conversation, to a public warning, to a temporary or permanent ban from project spaces. Enforcement decisions will be made consistent with the enforcement guidelines in the canonical Contributor Covenant 2.1 text.
This Code of Conduct adopts the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, available at https://www.contributor-covenant.org/version/2/1/code_of_conduct.html.
Community Impact Guidelines are inspired by Mozilla's code of conduct enforcement ladder.
