Yeah, this game is wonderful!
I skipped it when it came out, because I thought it's just a simplified and minimalistic 2D Dark Souls, and I wasn't interested in it.

But now I've started to play the game for the first time, and now I see, how amazing the artwork is, how gameplay is polished, and the OST is one of my favorite.

By the way, I'm looking at your nickname...
Are we both from Russia? :D

Yes. Load ReShade "Early" and the addon as a "Plug-In".

But sometimes it randomly just doesn't load, so I decided to get rid of Special K.
Is there something really important?

I tried it, but it crashes if I move my mouse cursor at all. But it's fine, I'll just not use SK with it.

I thought maybe Special K would help with latency in the game by utilizing Reflex, but game feels good as-is, anyways.

Also, to turn off these effects, do I just uncheck the RenoDX option and restart the game?

Yes, if you uncheck RenoDX in the Addon tab you disable the mod entirely (you do have to restart the game).

Also tried it without (removed from folder) renodx but with reshade - everything works fine.
Then tried it with renodx again and noticed this when game launching

I'm assuming it's related to the game option having Fullscreen being "On". Use "Borderless" or "Off"

Two questions:

• Is the purpose of the 'HDR Look' toggle to effect a HDR mimicking look on non-HDR displays? Or is it something else?

• Is the 'Hero Light' a vanilla effect that the Reshade mod grants greater control over, or is it not in the vanilla game?

HDR Look is for HDR users. Hero Light is in the vanilla game.

Disable exclusive fullscreen. Use borderless

@clshortfuse does the 5 Feb 2026 game update (1.5.12459) break anything in this mod? I see changes under the hood including D3D12 files, some new display settings (dithering, new resolutions).

Let us know if this mod needs to be updated to function correctly/accurately or if it's still good to go as is.
