clean up references

Maybe actually learn how to use bibtex, or otherwise just write a script to clean up e.g. capitalization inconsistencies.

write script that

• put bibtex file in alphabetical order
• remove unused references
• fix capitalization and name inconsistencies

There is already a cleanBib.py script that helps somewhat, but it still needs to be extended to fix the other issues.
