light on/off toggle not working (Rithum Smart Switch)

Rithum Smart Switch (https://rithumhome.com/product/rithum-switch/)
have a on/off toggle using Hue light through API.
Having a hue bridge that toggle work fine.

Using bifrost Bridge the toogle only support "on-function", not a toggle.
Off is not working with the toggle button. Different buttons for on and off work fine.

Interesting - have I understood correctly, that this "switch" is some kind of embedded computer with a touchscreen, that connects to a Hue bridge in the local network?

If so, this may be related to #76, and it just so happens to be something I'm working on at this moment :)

@boldiebold I just released a new stable (and dev) version of Bifrost with many fixes. I think it might help with this issue.

If possible, can you please test with both the stable and dev versions, and let me know how it goes? I'd very much like to know if the issue is gone now. Thank you.

@boldiebold thanks for the quick response, and for testing the new version.

I'd like to help, but I'll need some more information.

Can you please try the following:

1. Stop Bifrost
2. Start newest dev version (same as you've just tried)
3. Wait a few seconds for bifrost to start completely
4. Press "on" 3 times (a few seconds between each)
5. Wait 5-10 seconds
6. Press "off" 3 times (a few seconds between each)
7. Wait 5-10 seconds
8. Press "toggle" 3 times (a few seconds between each)
9. Send the complete bifrost log, going back to the banner it prints on startup.

This log file should help give an idea how your particular button panel reacts.

I'm noticing that it is using the legacy api (v1), so this might have something to do with it.

It's strange - it looks like the "toggle" request is just an "on" request each time.

So either there's something about the v1 api that Bifrost is missing (or got wrong), or, for some reason your "smart button" doesn't notice that the group has changed state.

I'm noticing that this is done on a group.

Is there any chance your smart button supports this toggle action on a single light?

If so, can you please test if it's any different there?

No I can´t map it to a single light. It´s only available to a group. Whole concept of Rithum are Group Scenes. Maybe it is working somehow with a toggle on/off scene The state of the toggle button is changing using the hue bridge and you see it on the scren Separate on/off scenes were introduced in Release 2.3 https://support.rithumhome.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4405492002577-Firmware-Release-Notes Maybe Rithum support will help. They were willing to provide information at least the last year…. ;-)

I received the following from Rithum regarding the on/off tootle issue.

We're using the V1 API and get the group attributes via https://developers.meethue.com/develop/hue-api/groupds-api/#get-group-attr
We look at the "any_on" attribute of the "state" object in the response in order to determine the current on/off state of the room/group. To toggle we just invert that state.

To set the new state we send "on" = true/false in a set state request - https://developers.meethue.com/develop/hue-api/groupds-api/#set-gr-state

Thanks! That's quite useful, and some good pointers for where to look.

I think the any_on attribute of the v1 api is not really implemented sufficiently, so that could be the reason!

I'll keep this issue open, and update it when I've looked at the v1 api implementations. We should probably fix all_on at the same time :)
