H5P New Look & Feel, Core 1.28, and Hub Changes #3270

I'd like to let you know that H5P Group just updated the core of H5P to version 1.28. Their official info for devs reads:
🚀 H5P New Look & Feel, Core 1.28, and Hub Changes
Changes are coming to H5P that will affect plugins and integrations. Please see the following
notes below on anticipated changes and which repositories are affected.
The new look and feel gives H5P content a more modern, accessible, and consistent experience for learners. It updates how content looks and behaves, without changing how you author it.
🎨 What’s changed
- Cleaner, more contemporary styling with simplified shapes and fewer heavy borders
- Neutral default color palette designed to work with institutional branding
- Improved typography and spacing for better readability, especially on mobile
- More consistent layouts for titles, instructions, and activity content
Additionally, we have migrated to a new Content Type Hub -hub-api.h5p.org
This means that, in order to get the latest updates of content types, all H5P Core integrationsmust update the H5P Hub endpoints with the new URL. The old Hub (api.h5p.org) will not receive any new updates.
📦 Where the new look and feel is available
- Included in H5P Core version 1.28
- Default theme: Daylight (fixed default in core)
- Default density: Wide (fixed default in core)
- Platforms built on core (plugins, tools) gain access when they update to the core version that contains the new look and feel and choose to expose configuration
OER Hub

All content on OER Hub uses:
- Theme: Daylight (fixed)
- Density: Medium (fixed)
When content is imported from the Hub into an https://h5p.com/ account, it adopts that organization’s theme and density settings

- Core minor bump 1.27 -> 1.28- H5P.Column 1.18 -> 1.19
- H5P.CoursePresentation 1.26 -> 1.27
- H5P.InteractiveBook 1.11 -> 1.12
- H5P.QuestionSet 1.20 -> 1.21
- H5P.DragQuestion 1.14 -> 1.15
- H5P.InteractiveVideo 1.27 -> 1.28
- H5PEditor.InteractiveVideo 1.25 -> 1.26
- H5PEditor.CoursePresentation 1.25 -> 1.26
- H5P.BranchingScenario 1.8 -> 1.9
🛠 Other notes
$coreApi version will change from 1.27 to 1.28. You can test out the changes with the feature/redesign branches.
