Review meeting actions - 16/05/2023

Actions:

• Improve readability and advice in each error message (e.g. if regex for datetime then give an example of what is required)
• Create a system for automating releases:
  • Monthly automated download and versioning to AMF_CVs
  • Triggers download and update to checksit vocabs - and new release
  • Triggers download and update on JASMIN and ingest servers at CEDA
• See how easy to put checksit under CEDA WPS
• See how easy to put checksit as an option in the Arrivals service
• Put versioning into the directory structure in the checksit specs
• Work on automated installations on JASMIN:
  • /apps/jasmin
  • ingest

Notes

The sensible process for adding new products and editing content is:

1. Instrument scientist develops a new product spec (outside Google Spreadsheets)
2. NCAS Obs Team reviews spec
3. When spec is agreed: it gets added to the Google Spreadsheets
4. A manual run of the parsing code is triggered to check there are no apparent errors

A few more actions:

• Vocab checks to be "exact match" (as current) or "contains" (e.g. for Conventions)
• Improve findability of AMOF standards through checksit (when AMOF file detected, add a link in checksit output header)
• checksit summary/batch mode flow (part of this might be JASMIN specific if using LOTUS)
• Start to consider and incorporate other NCAS standards (e.g. IMAGE should be an easy place to start)
