First, thank you for sharing this project with us!

I see there are some references to licenses in some subdirectories and some files, e.g., I see the MIT license mentioned in a few places, but only covering Python code:

It would be much clearer if there were a single LICENSE file at the top of the repo with the contents of the MIT license, which you can find here:

Also, once you've added a LICENSE file, GitHub will helpfully add a badge to the repo overview to clearly show the license this project is under:
