The new method is via skyrim_aoc.ccc in the DLC romfs. active mods have nothing before them and inactive mods have a # before them. skyrim.ccc must be at the beginning of the file

this link doesnt seem to be working, can you please fix the file or reupload it to a different host?
looking at a dump it appears that said file has a form of identifier at the beginning of each line before the mod names, does that identifier need to be a specific value?

You can disable a mod by adding a # before it and Skyrim.ccc must stay at the beginning Cannot be modified or moved

@MaxineMutini Sometime skyrim_aoc.ccc can go in the same directory as Skyrim.ini but sometimes it cant. So it might be wise to add the ability for it to support both versions as some have set theirs up arround it (like sllux

I created a fork and did the update for AE myself. You can find it here: https://github.com/Ahnz/SkyMM-NX/releases/
Currently it only works for the base game with update (skyrim.ccc file) but you could copy/rename the file afterwards or compile your own version of SkyMM-NX.

@Ahnz This doesnt work if the user has a physical version of the game If you have a physical cart you must edit the skyrim_aoc.ccc at /atmosphere/contents/01000A10041EB009/romfs/Skyrim_aoc.ccc Can you modify your fork to work with that file
