Spring26 M4: ClickToDial public release tag (r1.3 or r2.1)

For the Spring26 M4 phase, we have one question and would like to ask for your guidance.

Current ClickToDial release history:

• r1.1 -> click-to-dial 0.1.0-alpha.1
• r1.2 -> click-to-dial 0.1.0-rc.1

The repository is still on the meta-release track for Spring26.

From the discussion in release PR #83, we understood there may be two possible options for the next public release number:

• r1.3
• r2.1

Could you please advise which release number should be used for the Spring26 M4 public release of ClickToDial?

Our understanding is that the next step is the public release of click-to-dial 0.1.0 under meta-release: Spring26.

Hi, all pre-releases (all 0.1.0-alpha.n, 0.1.0-rc.m) and the final public release (0.1.0) in the same cycle will have the same major release number, in your case "r1". So the next release should be "r1.3".

The first pre-release after the public release of the cycle "r1" would be "r2.1"
I had a doubt due to the difference in Commonalities/ICM releases used, but release management team agreed that that is not the factor on which to change the major release number "rX".
All releases from first pre-release to final public release should have the same major release number "rX".

Understood:

• we keep the same rX across all pre-releases and the final public release in the same cycle
• for ClickToDial, the next release will be r1.3 for 0.1.0 public
• r2.1 will be the first pre-release after this public release

We will follow this and update our M4 release plan accordingly.
