Lists and secrets

On this page you can find information on:

Lists

Default lists

At first, you have default lists (you cannot rename or delete these lists)

  • Inbox - the list combines all items that have been shared with you personally; available in the personal vault only
  • Favorites - the list combines all items of the current vault that you marked as a favorite
  • Default - a default list in a vault where you can store your secrets
  • Trash - a list in a vault that stores your deleted items

Custom lists

If you want, you can add your custom list

  1. Hover over the Lists title and click in the "+" button

  1. Then name your list and save it

Done! Now you can add and manage your secrets

Working with secrets

Add new secrets

  1. Open a list where you want to add a secret. Click on the button Add item which is located on top of the screen and pick what you want to add: a password or a note.

  1. Then you can enter secret's information (i.e. login and password if you picked Password)

  1. Click on Create and done!

Now you can use, move or share the secret

How to move secrets

If you want to learn how to move one secret at a time see the steps below. If you want to learn how to move several secrets at a time go to the section.

You can move secrets:

  • to a list in the current vault
  • to a list in a different vault (both to the personal vault or a team vault)
  1. Open a secret and click on the button located on top of the screen

  1. Now you can pick a vault and a list

  1. Click on Accept and done! Now the secret is located in the chosen list

Share and revoke secrets

If you want to learn how to share one secret at a time see the steps below. If you want to learn how to share several secrets at a time go to the section.

You can share secrets with individuals that are domain users and with out-of-domain individuals.

  1. Click on one of the Sharing buttons

  1. Start typing in an email address:
  • If the text matches with a domain user's email - you'll see that and will be able to select a user from the list.
  • If it's an out-of domain individual, you will need to enter the whole email address

  1. Once you enter all emails, you'll see a list of recipients (out of domain recipients will be marked with the "!" sign)

  1. After the secret is shared, you'll see that

  1. After the secret is shared you can revoke it from a recipient: open the Share window (the Invited section), and click on the minus icon near a recipient.

Access to the secret will be revoked and the recipient won't be able to access it any longer.

Favorites

In each vault you have a default list called Favorites that you can use to aggregate the most needed and usable secrets.

Note, that personal Favorites and team Favorites do not mix, meaning if you mark a team secret as favorite, it won't be available in personal Favorites, only in the team Favorites, and vice versa.

  1. Open a secret and click on the "star" icon located on the top.

  1. Done! Now the secret is marked as favorite, and you can see the secret marked as favorite.

  1. And the secret is available in Favorites.

  1. You can undo the marking by clicking on the "star" icon again.

How to delete secrets

If you want to learn how to share one secret at a time see the steps below. If you want to learn how to share several secrets at a time go to the section.

  1. Open a secret and click on the Remove button, and confirm the action.

  1. Once you confirm it, the secret will be moved to Trash

  1. In Trash you can restore the secret or delete it permanently:
  • if you restore the secret, it'll be restored in the previous list
  • if you remove the secret, you'll lose access to the secret permanently and if it's been shared or if it was a team secret then the secret will be deleted for recipients/team members as well

Multi-selection tool

With the multi-selection tool you can:

  • share several secrets with individuals and/teams at a time
  • move several secrets to a different list or a vault
  • delete several secrets

Please, note, that you cannot select secrets from different lists. If you select secrets from one list and then move to another list, your selection will be deactivated.

  1. Firstly hover over the first secret you want to select and click on the checkbox

  1. Select other secrets on the screen by ticking the checkboxes. If you tick the checkbox on the top, then all secrets of the current list will be selected

  1. You can see how many secrets you've picked, and you can:
  • move secrets, see how
  • share secrets, see how
  • delete secrets, see how
