Hi, thanks for the good work! is this model only compatible with the custom head model, or is it able to work with other models? i.e. 3DMM/FLAME?

Hi, thanks for your interest in our work! Though our current model is only compatible with the custom head model, placing the generated hairstyle onto 3DMM/FLAME is easy as we only need to compute the rigid transformation between our head mesh and 3DMM (like what we did for single-view hair reconstruction). To compute the rigid transformation, you can either write your own code or use the Align Tool in MeshLab to manually do it.

@c-he Thanks for clarifying! I also have another quesion: The USC-HairSaloon head is rather different from the AVATAR NEO head, how did you align the original strands from USC-HairSaloon to the new head mesh?
