Functionality for url's w/ escaped slashes?

If you're using URLs in JSON, you'll often need to escape slashes depending on how you're going to process the URL:

https://stage.test.com/offers/domain.com/Pilot/Phase1/mobile/pickafood.png

Any way of being able to handle these escapes?
