Hello, friends! I am Faraz, and I am here to learn from you people and help with infrastructure and code. I am good with compilers and operating systems. At the minute, I generally, and preferably, code in C, C++, Swift, and Rust, but things change over time, and therefore, I do my best not to be biased towards anything. I am always open to learning and experimenting with new langs, stacks, etc. So, yeah, let's build something great and have so much fun together!

Hey I'm koobs (Kubilay). Background and long time experience with product development, infrastructure and operations, high scalability / reliable technology stacks. Lots of experience building and working with (Python) Django teams and development. FreeBSD Ports Committer and Community Engagement Team member.

For bsdlabs in general and this project in particular, I'd like to help with:

• Comms, coordination, docs, issues, workflow
• Recruiting new team folks
• Helping acquire resources (money, compute, storage)
• Infra & Operations Support

Hey all,

I'm Tim (tehpeh), sorry for the late post 😁

I'm a software engineer from Australia. My professional background is in data intensive applications and processing pipelines, and more recently web applications.

I have quite a bit of Ruby and RoR experience which I'm happy to share with aspiring Mastodon hosts. I currently run a B2B web app, and a high volume web app for work, both in Rails.

My interests these days are around FreeBSD, specifically:

• running it on desktop (which I've been doing since 11.1 days) and laptop
• exploring how I can use it in a homelab setting (running bhyve and jails)
• researching how it could replace linux for typical web clusters I'm used to using
