Question about tmp folder - Re: mDPF

Hi Brendo,

There is a requirement for a tmp folder with mPDF to be included in the library itself.

Is it best we use Symphonys manifest/cache folder for working with tmp data or is it normal to accept third party libraries that have tmp folders to mantain the use of their own tmp directories?

Just packaging mPDF up for a PR to your repo see :)

This also raises an issue with the manifest/tmp folder and file permissions under 2.4 integration branch.. I get an error trying to access the pdf file created by the generatePDFAttachments function now.

It's preferable to use the TMP constant whenever possible :)

Ok cool, thanks.

Must be my environment messing with me.. TMP is reported as Windows\TEMP under WAMP. So testing locally isn't working with pdf-attachment. Oh well :)

Oh by the way: Barcodes are working with mPDF :)

Just by adding <barcode code="00034698735346987355" type="EAN128C" /> sort of thing into the xsl page templates and boosh! it outputs a nice well Barcode :)

I know this is an old extension and an old thread, but I have a few questions:

• Does any of you still use this extension to generate PDFs?
• If so, does it work well? I not, what are your alternatives?
• mPDF integration is mentioned in this thread while the extension itself features TCPDF: is there a branch with mPDF anywhere?

Hey @nilshoerrmann yes we use it on an invoice generating capacity with a payment process on a few of our sites.

I have the branch of this with mPDF in a private bitbucket account I think. There were some hard coded values for speed of delivery hence haven't released it as of yet.

I can dig it out and post the code for you to take a look if you'd like?
