@Zingler has already started the register reads/writes. There appears to be good documentation on NESDev. I'm concerned that I don't see any real-time audio processing in MonoGame as far as I can see. (The DynamicSoundEffectInstance class I was thinking we would use doesn't seem to be in MonoGame?)
