Is USB VID/PID usable for my own forked project?

I am planning fork this project and adding some features under GNU GPL v2 license.
We(me or someone) could produce a product using this code, the code must be still public.
So, can we use allocated USB VID/PIDs in usb_descriptors.h for our own fork?
