MSFS 2020, V1.38.2.0

Yesterday I set some views of the 6DOF Camera and saved them under the buttons 1-6.
These were also available yesterday without any problems.
After restarting the MSFS2020 today, none of the saved views are available anymore.
I have worked through your manual but have not seen any information that I need to save the views again anywhere.

There is no known bug - the program was not able to save settings correctly or got interrupted somehow in that very moment.

You may go to MyDocuments \MSFS_HudBarSave\settings to find FCamAppSettings.json and backup copies of it
There should be up to 5 of them named FCamAppSettings.json.1 .. .5 where .5 is the oldest (but you cannot use the filedates as they are all the same from renaming them to shift older copies out..)

If you are fluent in JSON you can look into the files and find the one that still has entries like:
¦V2_N;11;-0.20f0.50f0.10f1.70f0.00f0.00f;-1¦ where N is the slot, 11 is 6DOF mode and all the f numbers are the 6 DOF values
and delete the current (FCamAppSettings.json) and rename the identified one by removing the .n to leave it as "FCamAppSettings.json"

If you however don't know about JSON at all you may use the oldest "FCamAppSettings.json.5"
then delete the one without number (FCamAppSettings.json) and rename .5 to remove the dot and the number
This will then be used as current when you start the application again.

Or you may just pack all 6 in a zip and attach it here and I will try to find one which seems still ok..

I replied by email. But it doesn't seem to work.
Therefore I repeat my answer here again.

First of all, thank you very much for your quick and competent response and help.

I have just saved a situation for the 6DOF camera.
I then closed the program and restarted it.
Result: The saved situation has disappeared.

The data is available in both current settings.
In the FCamAppSettings.json as well as in the FCamAppSettings.json.1
(see attached files).
This means that the program does not load the file.
However, I do not see anywhere that I have to specify a path to the program.

I have read through your documentation with interest and in detail.
However, the following questions remain unanswered for me. Perhaps you can also provide me with a link to answer them:
1.) 6DOF
What does the button with the house and the telescope mean?
2) Drone (very complex)
What does the distance arrow do?
GS 100kt etc., in between there is suddenly an indication of 0.5 nm.
Then a speed GS 400 kt appears again
Above this is a scale that apparently depends on which GS you set.

Her program is so exciting that there are always new questions.
What do I do with this field? What is it good for?

I may answer in parts as I have to check the files

for 1) Button with the house on 6DOF:
->The button to the right will set a ‘look down’ view either left or right down
means that it assumes you sit on a window seat and want to look out and about 15° down on either side of the plane
It just changes the Pitch to -15 and Yaw to either 90 or -90 depending on the side your current position is
But it will not change the position as the cam does not know about the size of the aircraft so you have to move the position manually and then hit that button (again only a shortcut for changing Pitch and Yaw)

for 2) and yes it is not so clear...
The flyby controls are moving the camera in front of the aircraft - and it works only if the Key configuration is set to your settings.

The various buttons and sliders are meant to control that movement.
Distance is the distance the camera moves when the flyby is activated (flag button) and it goes from right in front to about 1nm in front of the current acft location.
The GS options are just selecting a distance I found appropriate at those speeds, think of them as shortcuts for the distance slider. They have no other function. I may use a button for this function to make it more clear.
The value they set the slider take in account the speed and move the camera to a position where I found that the flyby is not too short or too long - but you may adjust at any time using the slider.
To experiment - just click them through and see where the slider moves.

For 3) the image you attached - in some camera modes sim has 'SMARTCAM TARGETS' which move the cam view in that direction.
those are replicated in that part of the window. Click once will activate and the text color is changing to gold, Click the selected a second time and the smart cam is deactivated and goes back to normal view

Well I found the problem with the 6DOF settings
Kind of a rooky error :)
The formatting of the 6DOF numbers is using the local decimal sign of your PC setting ( a comma in your country it seems - Germany??) and assumes a decimal point when reading it and finds no valid numbers and therefore discards the complete slot as invalid..
Have to fix that one as it hits all users where the decimal sign is not a point and using the 6DOF feature.

Someone who can set up a program like this is not a beginner.

I still have the following questions:
(a) The views under the 6DOF and the symbol with the inverted drop symbol (marker) are particularly interesting.
Is there any trick to assign a key combination to these views?
The background to this is that I often fly in VR and would like to have direct access to these views. This is possible, for example, with voice control (Voiceattack program).
I would also like to put these shortcuts on my Android tablet (Touch Portal program).
b) So that I don't have to check Github every day:
What is your estimate for customizing the program?
c) Do you plan to make your program VR-compatible at some point (in-game panel=?

I can call up fixed camera view 1-10 directly with Ctrl+Shift+No.
How can I call up No. 11-19 using a keyboard shortcut?

VR sorry not possible - in game panels go a complete other route than this App, besides I have no idea how to build an inGame panel :)

Key Shortcut to Views - there are a number of SimCommands you can use for that purpose but the App does not provide such a feature.
There is also no intuitive way to do this because the key input goes usually to the Sim and not to the App, and when changing the input focus (usually a mouse click) you have already the mouse in hand. May be TouchPortal has a way to focus keys to an app on the PC but I am not familiar with TouchPortal and as payed for App - I don't support such things in my free software.

The inverted drop corresponds to Sim Showcase-FixedCamera mode, the top row switches the cam modes not parts within a mode - such controls are always in the lower part of the window

The Drone is the Drone cam and can be assigned in the Sim as Command incl. movements

Fixed Camera View selection, as mentioned the App does not provide a mean to use keyboard shortcuts for this purpose and I don't recall what the Sim provides as configurable controls
