Can we better detect the textfield and buttons via adb

We're currently click on things on the UI based on positions, but it can be brittle when the screen layout changes. Can we apply a key to the components so that we can easily tap on them?

Do you think using Playwright for Android could be an option?
It's for UI testing but if we need to navigate through a UI via components it may be a good option
