(Suggestion:) more specific specifications/restrictions for RTTTL ringtones

As I am currently working on creating a bunch of ringtones of mediaeval music, testing my creations with several different Nokias, I did some observations that I would like to share here, because it might be useful to keep in mind.

It seems like different Nokia models have different size limits for RTTTL ringtones.
On my Nokias 6233, 6151, and 2626, the limit appears to be 80 notes.
On my Nokias 3310 and 2310 it seems to be 63 notes. (Which is a very curious number... Or maybe I missed one note in counting.)
On my Nokia 7110 the limit is even lower, 58 notes.

I do not know the note limits of other phones, so I do not know whether there is a limit even lower than 58, but I think that this is something anyone creating an RTTTL ringtone should keep in mind, to be able to prevent notes from being cut off because the limit has been reached.

I think it would be very useful to note this limit somewhere, to warn about it in order to prevent possible disappointment.

I don't know what the best way to do this would be.

I guess ideally one would also cut the RTTTL messages in a way that longer messages don't get sent to the phone?
We currently don't know what phone type is being used for older phones like this, only GPRS-enabled phones (that have done at least one HTTP/WAP request themselves).

We could add a cutting function and/or maybe a length disclaimer?

My apologies for the incredibly late reply.
I think the most feasible option is to add a length disclaimer, as it cannot be known for all phones that the RTTTL messages get sent to what the length limit is.
For messages that are too long, it looks like the phones just ignore everything after the limit has been reached.
