Global characteristics retrieval gets stuck in "gap2" from "%comp_industry"

When running the full (Global) code to retrieve characteristics in the WRDS Cloud, it seems to get stuck computing the "gap2" dataset in the "comp_industry" macro.

If I change the code to only retrieve characteristics for NA firms, it works fine.

Thanks for making us aware of this issue. We're currently working on a fix. In the meantime, our monthly characteristics are available directly from the WRDS web interface: https://wrds-www.wharton.upenn.edu/pages/get-data/contributed-data-forms/global-factor-data/
