More kanji dictionary entries

While there are quite a lot of options for the kanji dictionaries, some dictionaries which have entries in KANJIDIC do not seem to be available.

For example, Halpern's New Japanese-English Character Dictionary (1990) is available in 10ten, but not its successor, Halpern's Kodansha Kanji Dictionary (2013), even though both have index numbers available in KANJIDIC.

Are there any plans to increase the number of available kanji dictionaries with KANJIDIC entries? I think adding KKD (2013) would be most useful as it seems to be the only commonly-used English-language kanji dictionary still missing.

Hi @JurgenWindcaller, thanks for bringing this up. The main reason we don't expose all the information in KANJIDIC is just to limit the storage size since most users don't use the references.

I just checked the data pipeline and we are dropping:

I'm more than hapy to add halpbern_kkd in. Are there any others you think are useful?

For me personally, adding halpern_kkd is enough, as everything else I use is already included. Unfortunately, I can't quite comment on the other dropped resources as I haven't ever used them.

Not at all. I've gotten the data included in the data pipeline now. I'll add the integration into the extension in a few days' time.

I've implemented this now. It will be included in the next release, but I'm not sure yet when that will be.
