Selector autocomplete/suggestion issue

I often encounter an issue regarding autocomplete/suggestion for selectors. For example, I want to write the selector "a" but I need to hit Esc in order to avoid the suggestion.

Is there a way to avoid values to be suggested or completed when I want to type a selector?

Quick look revealed that for some reason "auto_complete_selector" is not respected in stylus files. This needs to be investigated further but I can't define any timeframe
