This is a feature request to add the ability for ShowComm to toggle the drill visualization from representing ranks as arrows to representing ranks as evenly spaced dots/X's/etc. (representing individual members), where the number of dots per rank can be changed by the user. The arrows are good because we are writing rank drill, not dot drill, but ranks having wildly different attendance numbers means that the density of members in different ranks can be starkly apparent on the field, and this is obscured in the drill visualization when every rank is uniform arrows. Using estimated attendance would allow ShowComm to better see the effects of member:rank ratios and account for this in drill design. (I still think the band itself should only be shown arrows, since attendance is not consistent and ranks still exist. This would purely be a visual aid for ShowComm to make a best guess at how their drill will appear with a bit more info.)
I have attached an image to illustrate the issue this attempts to solve using a real BRMB show, where the drill sheet shows two clean arcs around the drum major, but the visual is muddied on the field. Ranks Z and F are visibly more packed than their neighbors, whereas ranks O (in particular), B, A, M, and D are sparsely packed, making the shapes harder to discern.
