Cant scan any files

Hi hoping I could get some help, I just installed following the guide at https://www.htpcguides.com/install-comicstreamer-windows-for-personal-comic-server/.
Windows 10 is OS
Everything is working and I add my folders, just doing a couple to test it out so only about 30 comics.

However home just states:

Scan status: SCANNING
Monitor: 30 new files to scan...

and nothing ever gets added.

I read the other issues and installed unrar in python in case that was it but still no luck.

CHecked my installed packages in python and got the following:

[u'argh', u'backports-abc', u'configobj', u'futures', u'natsort', u'pathtools', u'Pillow', u'python-dateutil', u'PyYAML', u'singledispatch', u'six', u'SQLAlchemy', u'tornado', u'unrar', u'watchdog']

So all requirements seem meet.
Comic files are .cbr and have been scanned/tagged by ComicRack previously. FOlder/file structure is

Publisher/Title/Volume/Title (volume) ##.cbr

Going to folder tab shows folders are there:

g:\my comics\451 media group
g:\my comics\ahoy comics

Tried generating an API key and but that doesnt seem to do anything different. logs currently show as:

I'm having this issue also. It was working before. I can see folders but "no comics". wonder why

hey not sure if this place is still supported, but I went to the "Control" page and clicked "Restart" and now it's seemingly scanning and finding comics.
