Lemmy currently has a 10k limit on post length. The Game and Post Game threads can get much larger than this due to the scoring and highlight tables. There are multiple options for addressing this, a couple that were discussed:
- Split the highlights out to a different thread and link it from the game & post game threads
- Include the highlights as comments, either in one comment that gets updated, or one comment per highlight as they are made available. This can be done instead of or in addition to a separate highlight post after the game.
This change should be configurable, so that if the post limit is increased we can go back to the old layout. This can be done by changing the thread template in the configuration and/or adding on/off options.
