Description

@AnnaPBashkatova

As Student, Ministry and BC Public Institution, I would like to see that overawards, restrictions, previous payments on application might lower different loan/grant type in Estimated Award Table on Funding Summary page.

Acceptance Criteria

Any changes applied to the Award Cards should be presented identically to Student and Ministry user and BC Public Institutions.

Both PT and FT:

  • Replace "Estimated award" in Estimated award Card with "Award" in the column name in both PT and FT Funding Summary Page.
  • Create new column "Alerts" to display chips.

Restrictions

In both PT and FT Estimated award card, if restrictions might cause final/actual funding to be lower than estimated award amount (please disregard restrictions that will stop all FT and PT disbursement):

  • Add red chip "Restriction" next to each impacted funding type on application
  • On hover, display tooltip with text reading:

Restrictions on your account might result in funding lower than the current estimated award. If you require further clarification, please contact StudentAid BC.

  • If restriction was resolved, deleted or is actively bypassed, no longer display the chip.

Payments previously received impacting Estimated Award:

In both PT and FT Estimated award card, if payments previously received for an application might cause final/actual funding to be lower than estimated award amount:

  • Add red chip "Funded" next to each impacted funding type on application.
  • On hover, display tooltip with text reading:

Payments previously received for this application may reduce the amount of funding from the current estimated award. For further clarification, please contact StudentAid BC.

Overawards

In FT Estimated award card, if overawards might cause final/actual funding to be lower than estimated award amount:

  • Add red chip "Overawards" next to each impacted funding type on application.
  • On hover, display tooltip with text reading:

You have overawards on your account. They will be deducted from your eligible award if they are not repaid. Contact NSLSC to repay your overawards, otherwise they will be automatically subtracted from an estimated funding amount.

  • If overawards were repaid, no longer display label - overawards balance is 0 or negative.

Restrictions, Overwards and Other Factors - all are present and will be impacting or impacted award:

  • If a funding type is impacted by few factors at the same time, display all applicable labels next to impacted funding.
(For example, if FT awards are expected to be impacted by both restrictions and overawards, display both chips side by side beside the impacted loan/grant type).

Additional considerations

  • Tooltip might be presented instead in a form of legend, or some other solutions that devs can recommend during dev stage.

QA:

Full-Time - Student has restrictions and overawards

  1. Access student, make sure BCSL in Estimated award > 0 and CSLF>0.
  2. Accept assessment and confirm enrollment
  3. Add B2 restriction.
  4. As a Ministry User, add CSLF and BCSL overwards of $100 to student account
  5. Check the Estimated Awards screen. In Alerts column shall see chip "restriction" and "overawards" beside BCSL and "overawards" beside CSLF in Estimated Award Table.

Part-Time/Full-Time - payments received by student on application prior to application offering change

  1. Access student, make sure awards are >0
  2. Run disbursement
  3. Submit application offering change as an Institution
  4. Approve the request as student and Ministry
  5. Check for new assessments. The new assessment should have red chips in Alert Column in Estimated Award Table indicating that previously disbursed funding might impact the new disbursement.
