Description
As Student, Ministry and BC Public Institution, I would like to see that overawards, restrictions, previous payments on application lowered or increased loan/grant type in Final Award Screen on Funding Summary page.
Acceptance Criteria
Any changes applied to the Award Cards should be presented identically to Student and Ministry user and BC Public Institutions.
FT Final Award
- Populate loan/grant numbers with numbers requested on eCert. This behavior will be consistent with PT. Show effective amount of disbursement values requested on eCert file.
Both PT and FT:
- Replace "Estimated award" in Final award Card with "Award" in the column name in both PT and FT Funding Summary Page.
- Create new column "Adjustments" to display chips.
- If eCert was cancelled or rejected, the Final award card should have current behavior, meaning it is not showing. This is a current behaviour already.
Restrictions
In both PT and FT Final award Card, if restrictions caused final/actual funding to be lower than estimated award amount:
- Add red chip "Restriction" next to each impacted funding type on application
- On hover, display tooltip with text reading :
Restrictions on your account have resulted in funding that is lower than the initial estimated award. For further clarification, please contact StudentAid BC.
- If restriction impacted ecert amount, keep displaying chip even if the restriction was resolved, bypassed or deleted.
Payments previously received impacting Final Award:
In both PT and FT, if payments made earlier on app caused final/actual funding to be lower than estimated award amount:
- Add red chip "Funded" next to each impacted funding type on application.
- Add tooltip with text reading:
Your actual funding amounts received are different than the amounts estimated during the initial assessment. This was caused by payments previously received for this application. For further clarification, please contact StudentAid BC.
Overawards (FT only)
In FT Final award card, if overawards caused final/actual funding to be lower than estimated award amount:
- Add red chip "Overawards" next to each impacted funding type on application.
- On hover, display tooltip with text reading:
Overawards on your account have resulted in funding that is lower than the initial estimated award. For further clarification, please contact StudentAid BC.
If overawards caused final/actual funding to be higher than originally planned amount, bumping it to estimated award amount (negative overawards):
- Add green chip "Overawards" next to each impacted funding type on application.
- On hover, display tooltip with text reading:
Previously deducted overawards were applied to this payment. For further clarification, please contact StudentAid BC.
Restrictions, Overwards and Other Factors - all or few impacted award:
- If a funding type is impacted by all or few factors at the same time, display all applicable chips next to impacted funding.
(For example, if FT award, like CSL-FT was impacted by both previously issued payments and overawards deduction, display both chips side by side beside the impacted loan/grant type).
Screenshot is for reference only:
Additional considerations:
- Tooltip might be presented instead in a form of legend, or some other solutions that devs can recommend during dev stage.
QA:
Full-Time - Student has restrictions and overawards
- Access student, make sure BCSL in Estimated award > 0 and CSLF>0.
- Accept assessment and confirm enrollment
- Add B2 restriction.
- As a Ministry User, add CSLF and BCSL overwards of $100 to student account
- Run disbursement.
- Check the Final Awards screen. Both BCSL and CSLF should be reduced compared to Estimated amount and chips are indicating what happened.
Full-Time - Student has overawards
- Access student, make sure BCSL in Estimated award > 0 and CSLF>0.
- As a Ministry User, add CSLF and BCSL overwards of $500 to student account
- Run disbursement.
- Check the Final Awards screen. Both BCSL and CSLF should be reduced compared to Estimated amount and chips are indicating what happened. One red chip with tooltip per line should be displayed.
Part-Time/Full-Time - payments received by student on application prior to application offering change
- Access student, make sure awards are >0
- Run disbursement
- Submit application offering change as an Institution
- Approve the request as student and Ministry
- Check for new assessments and run disbursement. Check for chips on Final Award card indicating that disbursed funding was impacted by previously disbursed funds.
