I had several smalls ideas:

• would it be possible to add legacy version of some abilities ? i loved the old rolling thunder
• a non replacer version (thinking about the 4 abilities updash) also would be nice

Thank you for your feedback! I wanted to comment on the ion surge rework:
For being such a significant change, I would normally have a configuration option to revert that sort of thing for those who prefer the original version. However, the original Ion Surge will break any alternate passive, due to a minor but un-fixable quirk with the way it's coded. Because of this, the original Ion Surge is incompatible with ArtificerExtended. I still wanted to keep the playstyle available with other alt skills, like the Cryoburst or Convection Column alternate Utilities, that are also more versatile and intercompatible with other combinations of skills.

Regarding legacy versions of reworked ArtificerExtended skills: While I did rework many of these abilities because I wasn't very happy with how they handled, I still tried to maintain their core functionality either in their reworked versions or transferred to new abilities, because many of the core ideas were fun despite the poor polish.
That being said, not everything I wanted was kept around, like the carpet-bombing vibe of the original Rolling Thunder or the converging explosives from Flame Burst (before it became Lava Bolts). These abilities, I'm still interested in returning them in a future update, but they won't be the exact same (they'll be better!). I don't have any immediate plans for legacy options currently because of this, and because the legacy abilities are not well maintained. If theres anything in particular you'd like to see though, I'll be happy to work it into a future ability.

so playing with the jetpack passive should be ok ?

I tried to disable the ion surge rework but I still get the reworked ability showing up maybe there is something i missed

As i'm using extend loadout I thought about gaining height with the original surge and then diving with yours

yeah the carpet bombing feeling was really fun i think it could be well integrated into the upper sentence, rise, carpet, dive back ! :)

and its not really an idea, but eggskill mod contains the "Quantum transposition" ability for artificer:
the ability is on the same slot as rolling thunder, and the longer you channel the farther you'll teleport foward (with a limit), and causing a nova.
more stack of it (or more stack of rolling thunder, if the eggskill ability is on a bonus slot, with extendedloadout) consumes all stacks and create a bigger nova

and lastly i think your ion surge is a bit slow to take off, considering the original is a good escape there I think its too slow for that
