Resolve certain function names in Lua

Firstly, loving the plugin still. It's a daily driver and I must be using this 100s of times a day. It's reliable, it's fast and it looks so clean. Great job.

I have a lot of Lua tests that are structured like:

T["Chat"]["system prompt is added first"] = function()
  local messages = child.lua_get([[_G.chat.messages]])
  h.eq("system", messages[1].role)
  h.eq("default system prompt", messages[1].content)
end

When I trigger Namu symbols I see:

Understandably, it can't resolve a name for this function. I imagine this may be super difficult to support but thought I'd share this as an idea in case it's not.

Yeah, the LSP doesn’t recognize this structure, it usually returns a details like "function ()" and an empty string as the name.

That said, I think this is totally doable! What would you prefer as the name? The full line like:
T["Chat"]["system prompt is added first"],
or maybe just the second part: system prompt is added first without square brackets (or with?),
or something else?

Good question. Ideally, all of it would be shown, with some text wrapping applied to the right sight of the string like:

T["Chat"]["system prompt is added...

My reasoning for that is I segment my tests into groups and I may repeat the second part for a different group. And in my head, I have a map of the functions in my head so when I'm searching being able to see the group and part of the second group is most important.

Hey @olimorris, I pushed a fix for Lua's test files. so it should now work just the way you suggested.

The default behavior is a bit different, though, since it’s grouped by the first bracket, I added a parent-child relationship. This can be turned off easily via lua_test_preserve_hierarchy, but let me know if it doesn’t feel right to you!

new 2 options:

-- Those are the defaults
namu_symbols.options.lua_test_truncate_length = 50,
namu_symbols.options.lua_test_preserve_hierarchy = true,

with preserve_hierarchy:

with preserve hierarchy turned off:

lua_tests2.mp4

Amazing and than you so much. Going to be a big productivity boost for me. One thing I've noticed is something like:

T["editor tool"] = function()
  -- some code
end

So with only one square bracket isn't picked up nor is something like:

T["OpenAI adapter"]["Streaming"]["can output streamed data into the chat buffer"] = function()
  -- some code
end

Hey, thanks for the feedback! The original version wasn’t very flexible, but I’ve pushed an update that should now work properly with this type of brackets.

Just a quick note: only the first bracket is treated as the parent (if it has more than one test). I’ve kept it that way to avoid adding extra complexity, plus, grouping just the first one helps reduce truncation too.
