Output is unclear when no stdout is produced from one source

Given something like the below, where one side has produced output but the other has not, its hard to tell that one side just didn't produce anything. This shouldn't be much of an issue in the real world, as any case where there is no output probably means there was an error and theres a stack trace, but I like making Bailey suffer, so I'm filing an issue.

There's also an interesting side bug here that the +++ line isn't green. I guess this is what I get for trying to bake colorama in (to avoid the dependency).

I know thats not a side effect of my terminal, as git diff shows in the standard red/green colors.
