Files Still Visible in Web UI After Deleting from S3 Buckets

Hi,

We have deleted all files from the input bucket and output bucket. The dashboard is empty now, but the files still appear in the Web UI. How can I delete those as well? Can anyone please help with this?

We can see call details in the DynamoDB PCAUI table. Is this why files are still appearing in the PCA Web UI? We have over 6000 call recording details. How can we delete them from the Web UI?

The Web UI uses the DynamoDB table to understand what calls have been processed and then uses the files in S3 for various other features like supporting call playback.

At this time the Web UI does not provide a function to delete calls so calls must be manually removed from the S3 buckets (Input and Output) or you can set up an S3 lifecycle policy which removes files/calls after a certain period of time. When you remove the calls from the Output bucket the event will create a message in SQS and that message will be picked up by the Indexer Lambda to remove the relevant entries from the DynamoDB table. Be sure to delete the files from the parsedFiles, transcribeResults/analytics, and the transcribeResults/redacted-analytics partitions. Once the Lambda execution completes you should be able to refresh the Web UI and see that the calls have been removed.

I am working on enhancements to PCA which will provide the ability to delete call recordings from the Web UI, the ability to assign roles to users in PCA with granular entitlements, and activity logging (e.g. role management, add/delete calls, etc.). I will share more details when the feature set is closer to a stable version.
