Bluetooth 10 vs 11

Im using a hc-10 Bluetooth module and the glasses receive a signal CONN and when i view the serial monitor I receive unrecognizable numbers and letters. My Multi Meterworks flawlessly with the android and apple apps. I have been on this for about 2 days playing with the Bluetooth AT Commands, any help would be great. I will buy a HC-11 on Monday.

11 works the same. Going to try UUID now. Wish me luck
