Dell E5470 not recognizing trackpad

When using the current release I see that the trackpad settings appear active in the control panel but the trackpad does not appear to be recognized. I am using a Dell e5470 which I believe is a V8 alps trackpad. Is there a way to add support for this particular device?

Same issue on my Dell Latitude 7370 with ALPS v8 trackpad. Physical buttons work. Trackpad settings available in the control center. But no cursor movement when using the trackpad.

@Krummer Try it. It works with my Alps v8. The trackpad will be shown as a mouse in the settings.
