GSP Show Call crew assignment reordering - reconsidered

Description

Drag-and-drop reordering was removed (2025-10-08) due to complexity with surgical save system. If reordering becomes a requested feature, consider alternative approaches.

Why It Was Removed

• Complex state management with surgical saves
• assignmentIndex field would need surgical updates on every reorder
• Minimal user benefit vs. implementation complexity

Potential Future Approach

• Add explicit move up/down buttons instead of drag-and-drop
• Implement surgical UPDATE for assignment_index field
• Add proper validation and conflict detection
• Test thoroughly with concurrent edits
