Goodbye entry

I just built it for Windows with a few modifications, it's working but I can't send a goodbye message when I want to terminate the service.

I found and uploaded this software a few years ago (and it seemed abandoned even at the time). My hope was to be able to use it but it never really worked and I ended up using mDNSresponder by Apple. I cannot help fixing your issue but if you find a solution you could contribute it back or take over maintenance of this repository.

It works for me partially, I plan to create a C++ version of it.

Out of curiosity, what would be the advantage of making a C++ version of it? (assuming the C version works fine)

90% less code by removing stuff like _rrappend and C-style parsers by replacing it with modern code.
