Not sure what's happening here. Suggestions as to how I better diagnose/describe problems like this are welcome, as I'm new to Git in general.

'which' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I guess it's time to install Python 2.7 ... Whoops! Thanks

@NoHara42 Hmm, I’m not sure why it’s doing that on Windows. It seems where is the equivalent there, but it worked in the node-gyp call.

But yeah, it looks like it needs Python 2 and to have python2 pointing to it.

Just installed Python 2.7, added python2 to environment variables ... which is still not recognised on cmd though. I wonder what's going on, there isn't much documented following a quick search. "which" is definitely in the C:/Python27/Tools folder.

gyp unfortunately requires that python be a Python 2 instance, no matter what else you set in the environment. It's a long standing bug that will likely be fixed a few years after they fix it to work with Python 3... which still hasn't been fixed.

I usually do $Env:PATH = "C:\Python27;$Env:Path" in PowerShell to just force my Python 2 installation to be the first found when building something using gyp.
