Ambiguous filenames

On mac OS, by default, filenames are not really case-sensitive (e.g. v.pb and V.pb cannot coexist in the same directory).

So data/filters/fors/V.pb (Bessel) and  data/filters/fors/v.pb (gunn) cannot co-exist.

Is it possible to change the filenames ?
It's also the case for u.pb and r.pb
