How do you write that the fourth and third finger separate?

The hand locations section includes w`` to indicate the space between middle and ring. You could combine that with + for a pinching action, or with * for a simple touch. For an opening and closing action (or anything similarly uncommon), use the ?? modifier.

Standardized spellings develop with increased usage. Also, a little ambiguity isn't a problem when reading in context. You can always attach a footnote to explain signs you think your reader might not know from the spelling alone.
