Description
I posted this on reddit, but I'll post it here as well.
I wanted to download an MD I recorded on a CD/MD deck a long time ago, so I connected NetMD (tested with a Sony MZ-N1 and MZ-NE810) to my PC (Windows 11, Edge browser) and used Web MiniDisc Pro (ver. 1.5.2) with "Enable Homebrew mode ripping in main UI" enabled to download the MD tracks.
The download process itself was successful. However, the songs in the downloaded file were shorter than the originals, and the tempo sounded faster when I listened to them.
For example, if I download a 3:57 song using "DOWNLOAD AND CONVERT," a 3:23 WAV file with a fast tempo is created. When I play the AEA file created using "DOWNLOAD" directly in VLC, the playback time is displayed as 3:56, and although the tempo is not fast, it sounds choppy. When converted to MP3 using VLC, the playback speed is fast and the playback time is short, just like WAV files downloaded with Web MiniDisc Pro.
I have confirmed that WAV files recorded using Web MiniDisc Pro can be downloaded using "DOWNLOAD" or "DOWNLOAD AND CONVERT" and still play at the same length and tempo as the original WAV file.
Is it possible to correctly download MDs recorded on old CD/MD decks using NetMD and Web Minidisc Pro?
