Detect idle

It would be nice to detect when the computer goes idle, and returns to non-idle state in a similar fashion to instant messengers. That way, upon returning to the mac it could popup and give you the following options:

• You have been idle for 7 minutes -
  [X] Add minutes to the previous active task
  [ ] End the previous active task and use the 7 minutes as part of a new task

If the second option is selected, it asks you for a description of the previous task.
