Description
- I couldn't find this bug described in a dedicated issue.
- The bug persists in the latest release of MiddleClick.
- I use a ProMotion-enabled (120Hz) display (built-in or external).
- I use the app with a trackpad.
- I use the app with a Magic Mouse.
Describe the bug
After restarting my MacBook this morning, suddenly MiddleClick is unable to access accessibility permissions. When I open the app, I am prompted to give it permissions, but when I enable then, it still says that accessibility permissions are missing. This results in the app not being able to do anything.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Restart MacBook
- Get notification that MiddleClick was not able to be verified as not a virus (for some reason - this has never happened)
- Open anyway through Privacy and Security
- Get prompted to enable accessibility permissions
- Open accessibility permissions and see that they are already enabled (as they have been for months)
- Disable and enable permissions
- Restart MacBook again
- Quit and reopen app
- Uninstall and re-install app (via homebrew and direct download)
Expected behavior
Tap with three fingers results in a middle click.
Environment info
- macOS version: 26.0.1
- MiddleClick version: 3.1.3
