Additional finger not ignored #153

Description

@julian-weinert
  • I couldn't find this bug described in a dedicated issue.
  • The bug persists in the latest release of MiddleClick.
  • I use a ProMotion-enabled (120Hz) display (built-in or external).
  • I use the app with a trackpad.
  • I use the app with a Magic Mouse.

Describe the bug
With the unnecessary large trackpads these days it's impossible to use a computer without resting another finger on the trackpad at times. For me it's the thumb that constantly rests on the trackpad.
When working without MiddleClick I can perfectly well rest my finger there and still be able to do a two-finger right click.
With MiddleClick running this is entirely impossible. The resting finger is always recognised as additional finger and a middle click is being performed

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Rest thumb on trackpad
  2. Use index finger to point
  3. Right click with two fingers
  4. No right click

Expected behaviour
A right click being issued

Environment info

  • macOS version: 15.6.1
  • MiddleClick version: 3.1.3
