SmartHopper 0.3.2-alpha: Script Components Unleashed

This alpha release packs powerful undo support, new scripting tools to create and review scripting components, and a sweeping refactor of our AI workflows in Grasshopper—plus fresh branding and quality-of-life fixes.

🛠️ Undo Support & Script Tools

• Undo support for MoveInstance, SetComponentPreview, and SetComponentLock AI tools
• ScriptTools in SmartHopper.Core.Grasshopper.Tools with:
  • script_review for AI-powered script reviews
  • script_new for AI-driven script generation

📝 Script Component & GhJSON Enhancements

• Place Grasshopper script components via GhPutTools using GhJSON code
• GHDocumentUtils.GetObjectsDetails now serializes variable I/O parameters from script components
• Full support for parameter modifiers (simplify, flatten, graft, reverse) on both inputs and outputs

🔄 Tool Refactoring & File Splitting

• Migrated GhPutTools into Core.Grasshopper.Utils
• Split AI tools into dedicated files (text_evaluate, text_generate, list_filter, script_new, etc.)
• Each AI tool now defines its own endpoint

🎨 Branding & Icons Refresh

• Updated SmartHopper logo
• New icons for all components

🤖 AI Tooling & API Overhaul

• New CallAiTool in AIStatefulAsyncComponentBase for provider/model selection and metrics
• AiTools now declare their own endpoints
• Improved OpenAI provider with structured output

⚠️ Cleanups & Fixes

• Deprecated GetResponse—use CallAiTool instead
• Removed Eto.Forms reference from SmartHopper.Config and GetEndpoint method
• Fixed MistralAI structured-output bug ([Update Mistral API to use JSON structure #112]), OpenAI URI error, CI signature tests, and OpenAI logo quality

🛠️ Technical Requirements

• Rhino 8.19 or above is required
• Windows 10/11 (MacOS has not been tested)
• Valid API keys for MistralAI or OpenAI

• This is an alpha release with some features still unstable or subject to change
• API keys are required, and usage costs apply based on your provider
• Documentation is currently under development
