SmartHopper 0.3.0-alpha is here! This version introduces significant enhancements that improve the functionality, security, and user experience of SmartHopper.

🤖 AI Tools and Components

This release introduces a suite of new AI tools designed to enhance your workflow and productivity:

• New AI Tools for Chat: We've added support for new AI tools in chat, enabling more efficient and intuitive interactions. This includes web tools that allow you to retrieve data directly from the McNeel forum, helping you solve Grasshopper problems that others have already addressed.
• Enhanced ghget Tool: The ghget tool has been enhanced with new filters and code reorganization, making it more powerful and easier to use.
• New Components and Tools:
  • GhRetrieveComponents: A new component and AI tool to retrieve components more efficiently.
  • Category and Subcategory Retrieval: A new tool to retrieve all available categories and subcategories of components, making it easier to organize and manage your components.
  • ghtogglepreview: A new AI tool for toggling component preview, allowing you to quickly switch between views.
  • ghtogglelocked: A new AI tool to toggle the locked (enabled/disabled) state of components in the canvas, providing better control over your workflow.
  • ghmoveobj: A new AI tool with a MoveInstance method to move objects within your canvas.

🔒 Security Enhancements

We've made significant improvements to the security of SmartHopper:

• Enhanced Provider Security: Providers are now signed and verified by their strong-name, ensuring that only trusted providers can be used. This includes limiting access to settings to prevent unauthorized changes.
• Prevention of Unsigned Providers: It is now impossible to inject unsigned providers, adding an extra layer of security to your workflow.

🖥️ User Interface and Experience

• Web tools, UI improvements, bug fixes, and CI enhancements have been made to improve the overall user experience.

🔧 Refactoring

• Renamed deconstructmetrics parameters and properly calculated the datacount parameter.
• Removed the ghget component in favor of ghgetselected and renamed it to ghget.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Prevented duplicate processing of grouped branches in DataTreeProcessor.

🛠️ Technical Requirements

• Rhino 8.13 or above is required
• Windows 10/11 (MacOS has not been tested)
• Valid API keys for MistralAI or OpenAI

⚠️ Important Notes

• This is an alpha release with some features still unstable or subject to change
• API keys are required, and usage costs apply based on your provider
• Documentation is currently under development
